MRS. PHILLIPS, INSTRUCTIONAL COACHMrs. Phillips, Instructional Coach

My name is Carrie Phillips, and I am honored to serve as the Instructional Coach for Haughton Elementary. Before coming to Haughton Elementary, I was the Instructional Coach at Princeton Elementary. The fondest memories of my career are the years spent teaching students in the classroom. I have taught reading enrichment, second, fourth, and fifth grades. As a graduate and longtime resident of Haughton, I am thrilled to be serving in my community!

The primary responsibility as instructional coach is to partner with the teachers and administration to improve classroom instruction and student achievement. We work collaboratively in our professional learning community setting goals, sharing strategies, monitoring progress, and problem solving to ensure each student receives high quality instruction. I have additional responsibilities that award me the opportunity to visit with students, watch them learn something new, and see their happy faces.
